Abstract: 

Ionic liquids (ILs) have received considerable attention as green solvents in organic synthesis and advanced MATERIALS. Recent interest was focused on ENERGETIC ILs with the aim to reduce the overall exposure to hazardous and potential toxic MATERIALS. Compared with traditional ENERGETIC compounds, such as TNT, HMX, and RDX, ENERGETIC ILs have several advantages, such as excellent stability, negligible vapor pressure, higher density and little or no vapor toxicity. In addition, their properties are readily tuned through independent modification of both cationic and anionic components. The approach significantly increases the numbers of compounds available.

Abstract: 

Tetrazoles are class of high nitrogen heterocycles. These compounds have C-N and N-N chemical bonds and thus have positive heat of formation, high density and specific high impulse. Tetrazoles have also high potential energy and low sensitivity to friction and shock and thus are used as green ENERGETIC MATERIALS in propellants, gas generators, explosives and pyrotechnics. Some of tetrazole derivatives are used as green primes now. Tetrazoles have some advantages compared to classical high energy MATERIALS such as lower toxicity, easier synthesis, cleaner and environmentally friendly decomposition. As a result they are good alternative for normal ENERGETIC MATERIALS. These compounds also are used as agricultural and pharmaceutical.

Abstract: 

ENERGETIC MATERIALS production has the risk of uncontrolled explosion at high temperature which is hazardous for personnel and equipment.  Flexible aerogel blanket is fireproofing and has the lowest heat transfer among the thermal insulations. In this study, aerogel blanket with 3mm thickness have been used as insulating layer within multilayer composite textiles contain clothes which are fireproof and compatible with the body. Then, its performance as heat transfer barrier have been evaluated against explosion of the ENERGETIC MATERIALS. Direct fire testing at controlled conditions and field testing under uncontrolled explosion of the ENERGETIC MATERIALS have been performed.  Results showed that aerogel composites have high capability in preventing from the temperature rising and burning of persons exposed in explosion of ENERGETIC MATERIALS. When aerogel composite exposed to explosion of ENERGETIC MATERIALS, the temperature of the other side of the composite did not exceed from the pain threshold temperature (44oC). Also, the experimental testing showed the aerogel composites provide sufficient time for escape and avoid from burn injury. Flexibility and thickness of the aerogel composites are such that it is possible to prepare insulating and fireproofing clothes using them.

Abstract: 

Tetrazoles and their derivatives are insensitive ENERGETIC molecules that can be used in the compounding of the high energy material. Herein, two types of bishyroxyethyltetrazole compounds have been synthesized using bisnitrile and sodium azide and via consequent alkylation of the reaction product. The structure of all products have been confirmed by 1HNMR, MASS spectroscopy and elemental analysis. Also, for better interpretation of the 1HNMR spectra of bishydroxy ethyl tetrazole, the most stable conformation of 2-(5-methyl-2H-tetrazol-2-yl) ethan-1-ol (as a model molecule) have been investigated. The results of conformational analysis have indicated that the most stable conformation is gauch one. So, under basis of the 1HNMR and conformational analysis, the presence of an intramolecular hydrogen bond between -OH group and the 2-N atom of tetrazole ring in hydroxyl ethyl tetrazole compounds was confirmed.

Abstract: 

Rheological Properties Such as Viscosity (h), Shear Stress (t), and Torque (M) of the mixtures of (HTPB) with Octagon (HMX), Hexogen (RDX), and 2,6 Diamino-4-Phenyl-1, 3,5 Triazine (DAPTA) mixtures were measured. The experimental design was arranged for three factors at two levels (High and low levels). Temperature of the mixture (°C), Speed of the stirrer (rpm), Mixing Time (minutes) have been known to be effective in the quantity of Rheological properties. In this work, by using the appropriate equations the empirical model was presented for each property and mixture and the main effects on the responses were detected.
